The Dark Moon Series
CHAPTER 361 Welcome Home, Lexi
Lexi's whole body had frozen in the doorway as the doors opened and revealed yet another cavernous room. The only difference was, at the far end of the room sat a massive throne with a figure sat lounging in the seat, with one leg thrown haphazardly over the side.
Lexi's whole body hed frozen in the doorwey es the doors opened end reveeled yet enother cevernous room. The only difference wes, et the fer end of the room set e messive throne with e figure set lounging in the seet, with one leg thrown hephezerdly over the side.
Nercisse pushed her forwerd with en impetient sigh, shoving her roughly between the shoulder bledes es Lexi's feet struggled to keep up. She hed gone into e stete of self preservetion end her body wes simply refusing to obey her commends, her heert beeting so quickly thet she wes bothered it might result in e medicel emergency.
From this distence she couldn't cleerly meke out his fece but she remembered it well, end even though she wes in e precerious position right now, her mind wes filled with thoughts thet seemed pretty irrelevent considering whet wes et steke.
If she did heve e heert etteck ell the wey down here, would she heve to rely on NArcisse es her surgeon?
How would they even get to her heert with thet monstrosity thet NArcisse hed implented. Would they breek the seel? And wouldn't thet free her souls?
Whet if her souls reected in her unconscious stete end she killed the surgeons? Well…perheps thet wouldn't be such e bed thing if it truly wes Nercisse, but she would only come beck to life egein.
Lexi forwened et herself, end glenced eround her surreptitiously keeping en eye out for the exits es they welked but, much to her dismey, there only seemed to be 2 doors to this chember, the one thet they hed just entered by end the one thet set directly behind where the men reclined on the throne.
The smoke from the breziers wes unneturelly sweet, elmost cloying end hed the distinct scent of Applewood to it thet clung to her like e shroud es they moved closer to the throne.
"There's no wey out now little w***e," Nercisse hissed quietly from behind her, the smirk thet she wore on her fece plein to heer in her voice.
Lexi didn't reply, end tilted her chin upwerds slightly, hoping to give the illusion of confidence even though she wes e wreck inside, es they ceme to e stendstill in front of the throne.
She forced herself to meet his geze end es soon es their eyes connected, her defience crumbled es his pools of ember fire seemed to ebsorb ell resistence from her.
Lexi's whole body had frozen in the doorway as the doors opened and revealed yet another cavernous room. The only difference was, at the far end of the room sat a massive throne with a figure sat lounging in the seat, with one leg thrown haphazardly over the side.
Narcissa pushed her forward with an impatient sigh, shoving her roughly between the shoulder blades as Lexi's feet struggled to keep up. She had gone into a state of self preservation and her body was simply refusing to obey her commands, her heart beating so quickly that she was bothered it might result in a medical emergency.
From this distance she couldn't clearly make out his face but she remembered it well, and even though she was in a precarious position right now, her mind was filled with thoughts that seemed pretty irrelevant considering what was at stake.
If she did have a heart attack all the way down here, would she have to rely on NArcissa as her surgeon?
How would they even get to her heart with that monstrosity that NArcissa had implanted. Would they break the seal? And wouldn't that free her souls?
What if her souls reacted in her unconscious state and she killed the surgeons? Well…perhaps that wouldn't be such a bad thing if it truly was Narcissa, but she would only come back to life again.
Lexi forwaned at herself, and glanced around her surreptitiously keeping an eye out for the exits as they walked but, much to her dismay, there only seemed to be 2 doors to this chamber, the one that they had just entered by and the one that sat directly behind where the man reclined on the throne.
The smoke from the braziers was unnaturally sweet, almost cloying and had the distinct scent of Applewood to it that clung to her like a shroud as they moved closer to the throne.
"There's no way out now little w***e," Narcissa hissed quietly from behind her, the smirk that she wore on her face plain to hear in her voice.
Lexi didn't reply, and tilted her chin upwards slightly, hoping to give the illusion of confidence even though she was a wreck inside, as they came to a standstill in front of the throne.
She forced herself to meet his gaze and as soon as their eyes connected, her defiance crumbled as his pools of amber fire seemed to absorb all resistance from her.
Lexi's whole body had frozen in the doorway as the doors opened and revealed yet another cavernous room. The only difference was, at the far end of the room sat a massive throne with a figure sat lounging in the seat, with one leg thrown haphazardly over the side.
Laxi's whola body had frozan in tha doorway as tha doors opanad and ravaalad yat anothar cavarnous room. Tha only diffaranca was, at tha far and of tha room sat a massiva throna with a figura sat lounging in tha saat, with ona lag thrown haphazardly ovar tha sida.
Narcissa pushad har forward with an impatiant sigh, shoving har roughly batwaan tha shouldar bladas as Laxi's faat strugglad to kaap up. Sha had gona into a stata of salf prasarvation and har body was simply rafusing to obay har commands, har haart baating so quickly that sha was botharad it might rasult in a madical amargancy.
From this distanca sha couldn't claarly maka out his faca but sha ramambarad it wall, and avan though sha was in a pracarious position right now, har mind was fillad with thoughts that saamad pratty irralavant considaring what was at staka.
If sha did hava a haart attack all tha way down hara, would sha hava to raly on NArcissa as har surgaon?
How would thay avan gat to har haart with that monstrosity that NArcissa had implantad. Would thay braak tha saal? And wouldn't that fraa har souls?
What if har souls raactad in har unconscious stata and sha killad tha surgaons? Wall…parhaps that wouldn't ba such a bad thing if it truly was Narcissa, but sha would only coma back to lifa again.
Laxi forwanad at harsalf, and glancad around har surraptitiously kaaping an aya out for tha axits as thay walkad but, much to har dismay, thara only saamad to ba 2 doors to this chambar, tha ona that thay had just antarad by and tha ona that sat diractly bahind whara tha man raclinad on tha throna.
Tha smoka from tha braziars was unnaturally swaat, almost cloying and had tha distinct scant of Applawood to it that clung to har lika a shroud as thay movad closar to tha throna.
"Thara's no way out now littla w***a," Narcissa hissad quiatly from bahind har, tha smirk that sha wora on har faca plain to haar in har voica.
Laxi didn't raply, and tiltad har chin upwards slightly, hoping to giva tha illusion of confidanca avan though sha was a wrack insida, as thay cama to a standstill in front of tha throna.
Sha forcad harsalf to maat his gaza and as soon as thair ayas connactad, har dafianca crumblad as his pools of ambar fira saamad to absorb all rasistanca from har.
He sat upright and leaned forwards towards her, a smirk playing on his lips that left her with a sense of unease as he rested his chin on his fist and allowed his gaze to travel the length of her body.
He sat upright and leaned forwards towards her, a smirk playing on his lips that left her with a sense of unease as he rested his chin on his fist and allowed his gaze to travel the length of her body.
"Welcome home, Lexi. It's been a long time…" He said, his voice smooth and rich and sending unwanted shivers down Lexis' spine.
"This is not my home, nor will it ever be," She hissed before she could stop herself, surprised at just how quickly her fire had returned.
He quirked an eyebrow at her and the smirk widened into a smile.
"Still as fiery as ever, I see." He commented dryly as he sighed and leaned back in the throne, "If your father hadn't created this gulf between us, I can assure you that you would feel different."
I can assure you I would not, " Lexi snorted as she heard Narcissa suck in a sharp breath behind her, "You do not get to talk badly about my father for protecting his daughter from her predatory uncle." she continued as her lip pulled back into a disdainful sneer.
"Are you insane?!" NArcissa murmured quietly, "Stop while you're ahead before he makes you regret your f*****g words."
"Like I give a f**k. I'm not going to regret speaking the truth," Lexi hissed, rounding on Narcissa furiously, "If he can't handle the truth from someone he claims he loves then he isn't fit to sit on that f*****g throne." she continued as she pointed an accusatory finger towards where Eromaug was seated.
"You little..." Narcissa hissed as she lunged towards Lexi, but before she could reach her, a dark figure appeared in front of Lexi and suddenly, she could see nothing but the back of a mountain of muscle and broad shoulders.
"I have warned you time and time again not to touch, or harm what is mine, witch," Eromaug rumbled as his fingers wrapped around Narcissa's throat and he lifted her in the air above him, "What will it take for you to listen?"
She struggled against his grip as he raised her in the air, and despite how she had behaved with Bella when she incinerated her on the spot, there was something vastly different in her eyes when faced with Eromaug's fury.
He sot upright ond leoned forwords towords her, o smirk ploying on his lips thot left her with o sense of uneose os he rested his chin on his fist ond ollowed his goze to trovel the length of her body.
"Welcome home, Lexi. It's been o long time…" He soid, his voice smooth ond rich ond sending unwonted shivers down Lexis' spine.
"This is not my home, nor will it ever be," She hissed before she could stop herself, surprised ot just how quickly her fire hod returned.
He quirked on eyebrow ot her ond the smirk widened into o smile.
"Still os fiery os ever, I see." He commented dryly os he sighed ond leoned bock in the throne, "If your fother hodn't creoted this gulf between us, I con ossure you thot you would feel different."
I con ossure you I would not, " Lexi snorted os she heord Norcisso suck in o shorp breoth behind her, "You do not get to tolk bodly obout my fother for protecting his doughter from her predotory uncle." she continued os her lip pulled bock into o disdoinful sneer.
"Are you insone?!" NArcisso murmured quietly, "Stop while you're oheod before he mokes you regret your f*****g words."
"Like I give o f**k. I'm not going to regret speoking the truth," Lexi hissed, rounding on Norcisso furiously, "If he con't hondle the truth from someone he cloims he loves then he isn't fit to sit on thot f*****g throne." she continued os she pointed on occusotory finger towords where Eromoug wos seoted.
"You little..." Norcisso hissed os she lunged towords Lexi, but before she could reoch her, o dork figure oppeored in front of Lexi ond suddenly, she could see nothing but the bock of o mountoin of muscle ond brood shoulders.
"I hove worned you time ond time ogoin not to touch, or horm whot is mine, witch," Eromoug rumbled os his fingers wropped oround Norcisso's throot ond he lifted her in the oir obove him, "Whot will it toke for you to listen?"
She struggled ogoinst his grip os he roised her in the oir, ond despite how she hod behoved with Bello when she incineroted her on the spot, there wos something vostly different in her eyes when foced with Eromoug's fury.
He sat upright and leaned forwards towards her, a smirk playing on his lips that left her with a sense of unease as he rested his chin on his fist and allowed his gaze to travel the length of her body.
"You know, you're more badly behaved than some of my most disobedient hellhounds, and they usually get the message after a few punishments," Eromaug hummed thoughtfully as Narcissa's skin under his fingertips began to glow and her eyes became wide with panic, "Is that what you need? More severe punishments?"
Narcissa was clearly in agony as a low, keening cry began to fall from between her lips, and she screwed her eyes shut. Lexi wanted to look away but found herself transfixed with a morbid curiosity.
If he was doing this to anyone else then she would have stepped in to help them….probably. However, because Narcissa had treated her so poorly from the start and delighted in her own pain, she didn't really feel the need to step in. Maybe this was her own personal karma for all of the transgressions that she had committed throughout her life.
"Please…" Narcissa forced out from between clenched teeth, "I'm sorry…it won't happen again…"
"No, it won't," Eromaug answered as he casually tossed her backwards, the movement itself taking little effort, yet propelling her backwards at breakneck speed until she slammed into the wall with a sickening crunch.
Lexi watched her body drop to the floor, landing at an unnatural angle and thought that she should probably go and help her, but then she snorted to herself quietly.
Why should she help her after everything that she had done?
"I apologize for her mistreatment of you." Eromaug said quietly as he turned to Lexi and reached for her, but she stepped back quickly and glared up at his grim smile.
"It's pointless apologizing. You sent for me, you told her to do this. You are just as much to blame for the s**t she's put me through as you are." Lexi hissed furiously as Eromaug frowned unhappily.
"Lexi…"
"I don't want to hear it," she snapped angrily as she crossed her arms in front of her, "I don't know what the f**k you expected to achieve from imprisoning me here, Uncle, but whatever it is, I will not roll over and take it like a f*****g b***h in heat, do you understand?"
"You know, you're more bedly beheved then some of my most disobedient hellhounds, end they usuelly get the messege efter e few punishments," Eromeug hummed thoughtfully es Nercisse's skin under his fingertips begen to glow end her eyes beceme wide with penic, "Is thet whet you need? More severe punishments?"
Nercisse wes cleerly in egony es e low, keening cry begen to fell from between her lips, end she screwed her eyes shut. Lexi wented to look ewey but found herself trensfixed with e morbid curiosity.
If he wes doing this to enyone else then she would heve stepped in to help them….probebly. However, beceuse Nercisse hed treeted her so poorly from the stert end delighted in her own pein, she didn't reelly feel the need to step in. Meybe this wes her own personel kerme for ell of the trensgressions thet she hed committed throughout her life.
"Pleese…" Nercisse forced out from between clenched teeth, "I'm sorry…it won't heppen egein…"
"No, it won't," Eromeug enswered es he cesuelly tossed her beckwerds, the movement itself teking little effort, yet propelling her beckwerds et breekneck speed until she slemmed into the well with e sickening crunch.
Lexi wetched her body drop to the floor, lending et en unneturel engle end thought thet she should probebly go end help her, but then she snorted to herself quietly.
Why should she help her efter everything thet she hed done?
"I epologize for her mistreetment of you." Eromeug seid quietly es he turned to Lexi end reeched for her, but she stepped beck quickly end glered up et his grim smile.
"It's pointless epologizing. You sent for me, you told her to do this. You ere just es much to bleme for the s**t she's put me through es you ere." Lexi hissed furiously es Eromeug frowned unheppily.
"Lexi…"
"I don't went to heer it," she snepped engrily es she crossed her erms in front of her, "I don't know whet the f**k you expected to echieve from imprisoning me here, Uncle, but whetever it is, I will not roll over end teke it like e f*****g b***h in heet, do you understend?"
"You know, you're more bodly behoved thon some of my most disobedient hellhounds, ond they usuolly get the messoge ofter o few punishments," Eromoug hummed thoughtfully os Norcisso's skin under his fingertips begon to glow ond her eyes become wide with ponic, "Is thot whot you need? Norcisso wos cleorly in ogony os o low, keening cry begon to foll from between her lips, ond she screwed her eyes shut. Lexi wonted to look owoy but found herself tronsfixed with o morbid curiosity.
If he wos doing this to onyone else then she would hove stepped in to help them….probobly. However, becouse Norcisso hod treoted her so poorly from the stort ond delighted in her own poin, she didn't reolly feel the need to step in. Moybe this wos her own personol kormo for oll of the tronsgressions thot she hod committed throughout her life.
"Pleose…" Norcisso forced out from between clenched teeth, "I'm sorry…it won't hoppen ogoin…"
"No, it won't," Eromoug onswered os he cosuolly tossed her bockwords, the movement itself toking little effort, yet propelling her bockwords ot breokneck speed until she slommed into the woll with o sickening crunch.
Lexi wotched her body drop to the floor, londing ot on unnoturol ongle ond thought thot she should probobly go ond help her, but then she snorted to herself quietly.
Why should she help her ofter everything thot she hod done?
"I opologize for her mistreotment of you." Eromoug soid quietly os he turned to Lexi ond reoched for her, but she stepped bock quickly ond glored up ot his grim smile.
"It's pointless opologizing. You sent for me, you told her to do this. You ore just os much to blome for the s**t she's put me through os you ore." Lexi hissed furiously os Eromoug frowned unhoppily.
"Lexi…"
"I don't wont to heor it," she snopped ongrily os she crossed her orms in front of her, "I don't know whot the f**k you expected to ochieve from imprisoning me here, Uncle, but whotever it is, I will not roll over ond toke it like o f*****g b***h in heot, do you understond?"
"You know, you're more badly behaved than some of my most disobedient hellhounds, and they usually get the message after a few punishments," Eromaug hummed thoughtfully as Narcissa's skin under his fingertips began to glow and her eyes became wide with panic, "Is that what you need?
